I am an artist living and working in the north cheshire area of the U.K.
Having had an interest in art from an early age, my mother being blessed with a talent for landscapes, I was encouraged to
continue practicing, and gained high marks in my exams in art at secondary school. I married when I was twenty,
and we had four wonderful children, but in the process of raising them painting was put on hold, oil painting and children
do not mix. In 2003 a change of circumstances led me to make the decision to change what had become a hobby again, into
an occupation. I have exhibited locally and at present some of my work is held in a gallery in the English Lake District,
my work is also held in many private collections throughout the U.K. Although I specialise in portraits I will
undertake other subjects, having recently completed commissions as diverse as pets, holiday homes, landscapes,
and still life. As you will see my style is varied and I find I can please most people with the artwork I produce.
I had never undertaken a self portrait before, and this was quite a challenge, but my wife says it is definately me, and she
is the best judge.
I ALSO OFFER PRIVATE LESSONS, FOR THOSE INTERESTED IN IMPROVING THEIR DRAWING SKILLS. Contact details at the bottom of each
